If you are located in Canberra city we invite you to visit us here at the Chinese Treatment Centre. We are located in the suburb of Turner which is a few minutes drive from the city centre. We have on-site parking for your convenience. You are also able to walk to our practice in about 10 or 15 minutes from most parts of the city.

Dr Charles Cai and his team are very experienced in the ancient Chinese form of this alternative medicine. We also combine the use of Chinese herbs and massage therapy to find the best treatment solution for you.

Other options include moxibustion and cupping therapy as part of our treatment plans. If you are not familiar with cupping therapy you might recall the strange marks that the legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps had on his body. This was from cupping therapy treatments that he received.

Our practitioners are waiting to see you. They are as mentioned earlier, Dr Charles Y Cai who is the director of the centre. Charles has over 20 years clinical experience both in Australia and China and he is a full practicing member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Dr Cai has carried out successful research about the treatment of menopause, insomnia, MS and depression and these findings were published in over 10 different journals and books. Charles has a Master of Acupuncture from RMIT.

Dr Ming Chen is another of our practitioners having first gained a bachelor degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Liaoning University of TCM in China in 1999 before adding further qualifications in 2002 and 2006 from Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medical University, China. Using a holistic approach Ming combines Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, Chinese massage, cupping, guasha techniques as well as taking into account diet, exercise and lifestyle to help treat many chronic and complex conditions.

Dr Sali Tesseyman is more of an expert in Japanese medicine and spent five years living, working and training in Japan. Sali uses Japanese acupuncture which use smaller and thinner needles. Sali’s qualifications include an Advanced Diploma Medicine (Japanese Acu) and a Diploma of Shiatsu.

As you can see our practitioners are very experienced and are looking forward to meeting with you to treat you condition, or to just discuss with you a way to improve your general health and well-being. Give us a call today to arrange your first consultation.
